To be honest, I rushed with designing the previous Ashflake. I seriously hated the previous design so much that I had to redesign her from the head down.

In April this year, I went on a Norwegian Cruise aboard the Norwegian Joy to Honduras, Belize and Mexico. This was my first time actually being in another country too. While I was in Belize and Costa Maya and Cozumel, I encountered countless Maya ruins. I visited Chacchoben ruins and became fascinated by the ancient maya and the current Maya descendants who still live a tribal life in their original stomping grounds.

And to commemorate that trip, I decided to make Ashflake and the rest of the Ghosts future humans of Maya descent. Guess I make the Yucatan the last bastion of the descendents of humanity while I'm at it. I changed her skin tone and hair color to match the ancestry and the eyes to give her the ghost look. the black hands and feet are ash colored to represent her name. She has black tattooed cheeks for cuteness.

She now has a sarong as depicted in Maya artifacts with the grey circles on the black of the sarong to represent snowflake obsidian, her other namesake. What? No gold jewelry? Gold is for ugly people! Jade is in now in boys! Those feathers connecting to her mini ponytail are actually ferns because quetzals didn't make it through the Cenozoic Endgame. What a shame. She does have just a men's loincloth as a swimsuit now. Too bad you pervs will never see it!
