I researched 2 artists: Caitlin Hackett and Peter Deligdisch. They have very different styles, but some of their themes and techniques are similar. I linked these with my style to do this piece. The mixture of human and animal anatomy is done to show how humans and nature are more deeply connected then we think. The mushrooms and decaying body of the man highlight our connected fate, suggesting that if one rots away then the other will follow.
