Description
Rodin City was considered one of man's greatest achievements. Founded by some of the greatest minds of science, Rodin City was built to be a place of creativity and invention. Growing scientists from across the world could come here and bring the future into the present, create the impossible and beyond.

And they had. The city had grown throughout the generations into glistening skyscrapers that almost seemed to touch the clouds with windows that shone like mirrors. It really did seem like it came from an old sci-fi movie depicting the far future. The city was defiantly a sight to behold.

"Oh my gosh," Maya whispered in awe as she stared out the jet window and at the city below. Her hands and face pressed onto the glass. Her friends Alex and Roxanne were looking out of their own windows. Alex was trying to hide her awe while Roxanne just looked smug and impressed.

"I TOLD you that Rodin City was awesome. Am I right? Of course I am!" Roxanne gloated hands on her hips as she held her head up high.

Alex rolled her eyes. She wasn't even going to bother to comment at this point. Instead she amused herself with the look on Maya's face. She had a feeling this was the first time she had ever seen a city like this before. Her face was priceless.

Maya's huge eyes stared at the buildings. "Roxanne this is awesome. It's just so-"
"Amazing? Terrific? Magnificent?" Roxanne suggested with a grin.

"SHINY."

Roxanne blinked in surprise. "Er I guess that works too."

"Well it defiantly is shiny I'll give it that," Alex chuckled. "Did the rich folks get so egotistical that they needed everything to a mirror?"

"Oh hah hah! You're one to talk," Roxanne uttered sarcastically. "Yeah it's true a lot of the pompous rich folks like living over here because we're fancy and shiny and stuff. BUT the smart people live here too. My dad is mostly responsible for the advanced achievements we've, uh, achieved. He helped make it great."

"So the mirrors are for you then?" Alex smirked cheekily.

Roxanne paused and just glared and her for a while. "You are a mean person."

Ding-Dong-Ding~

A ring from the jets intercom came from the speakers followed by a British sounding voice. "Miss Summers there seems to be a problem at the airport. There has been an incident which has made it impossible to land."

"Wait what?" Alex questioned, standing up from her seat to look at Roxanne. "Who was that? And what did he mean by incident?" Alex felt like she already knew the answer. Rodin City was known for its technological achievements yes, but it was also known for its high rate of super criminal activity. She was starting to think that coming here may have been a bad idea.

Roxanne just shrugged. As if this was just a daily occurrence to her. The voice continued. "Do you wish for me to land at the manor?"

"What does he mean? Landing at the manor?" Maya asked, having turned away from the city view.

"Hmmm," Roxanne thought about this for a second. "Sure okay."

The jet made a sharp turn to the left, flying away from Rodin City. Alex stumbled and held onto the closest seat to keep her from falling over. Maya yelped in surprise as the force of the turn caused her to lean against the window. Roxanne sat back in her chair, giggling a little at the other two. "What's the matter guys? Can't handle a little turbulence?"

Alex glared at Roxanne but let the comment slide.

Maya laughed nervously at the comment. "Haha yeah, but seriously what does he mean the manor?"

Roxanne smiled. "My house."

"Your house?" Alex repeated. "You have a runway at your house?!"

"Eh not really," Roxanne stated, lazily looking around as if she was thinking it over. "But I guess we can always use the lawn."

Alex and Maya's mouths dropped. "Are you serious?!" Alex yelled at her.

Roxanne shrugged and stared at her blankly.

Alex just stared at her. Was Roxanne really that stupid?! She sighed angrily. "Well I'm going to the pilot," Alex said, turning around and heading straight to the pilot's door. Maybe she could talk to whoever this voice was and get them to land somewhere safe. Alex knocked the door a few times. "Hello. Excuse me I would like to speak to the pilot. Hello?" she turned the handle, surprised to see it was unlocked. She then opened the door and entered the front cockpit. "Sorry sir but I need to talk to you about landing the-"

She went silent.

The cockpit was empty.

And outside the front window she could they were closing in over a forest.

They were going to crash.

"ROXANNE!"

Maya jumped as she heard Alex's sharp yell. She turned to Roxanne giving her a somewhat nervous and questionable look. Roxanne grinned at her. "Well that's my cue!" she jumped up from her chair and strutted up to the cockpit with Maya following behind her. Roxanne casually leaned against the door frame as she watched Alex sit in the pilot's seat, frantically pulling levers and pressing buttons. Maya gasped as she looked out of the window, horrified. Roxanne looked out briefly and then turned her attention back to Alex. "So? What'cha doin'?"

"What does it look like I'm doing?!" Alex yelled in frustration. Pressing almost every button she could find. "I'm trying to save our lives you- You- Argh!"

The jet was getting closer and closer to the ground. Roxanne was doing nothing, Maya was muttering words under her breath and Alex wasn't finding any way of slowing this plane down! Alex only had one more option left. She closed her eyes, preparing to concentrate as the jet descended, trying not to think about the consequences of what would happen next.

"Hey look!" Roxanne's voice perked up, interrupting Alex's thoughts. She couldn't help herself and looked out of the window.

Out the window was a huge golf course, flat green grass spreading far out across the landscape. The jet landed with a bump causing the three passengers falling forward a bit with the momentum. More small bumps were felt as the jet drove across the lawn and eventually came to a slow stop.

"Miss Summers. We have arrived," the voice announced, seemingly from nowhere. "Transferring to home now."

A whirly sound was made and all the lights turned off. Everyone sat in silence. Both Alex and Maya were stunned. "Well. We're here!" Roxanne cheered, smiling broadly. She elbowed Maya in the arm. "That was an awesome prank huh?!"

"Uhhhhhhhh…" Maya drawled out.

"And Alex!" Roxanne continued. "At the very least this proves you're not a psychic! Because you never saw this coming."

Alex made a long frustrated sigh. "You are… a mean person."

After the jet's sudden landing the three girls headed towards the house and through the property. The jet was parked in the middle of the golf course, dark skid marks trailing back to where the jet had first touched down. Over to one side they could see the edge of a cliff overlooking an ocean. On the opposite side the golf course was a huge classy mansion, standing three stories high with windows adorning the back. The girls walked into an opening at the back that led through a ball room and into the front hall. Two large staircases made their way up to the second floor opposite the front door. This was Summers Manor.

"Told you it was bigger," Roxanne said smugly as they stopped in the centre of the room, grinning at her friends proudly. "Well what do you think?"

"Wow Rox! This is amazing!" Maya cheered, eyes wide with how huge the place was. "I've never seen any place like this!"

"Yeah, it sure is something," Alex added, looking around curiously. "So any parents we should know about? Maids? Servants?"

"Nope!" Roxanne answered. The smug look was still on her face. "Luckily enough my dad is out of town! Something to do about Washington? Some sort of government thing? I don't know but he's out."

"Wait so you're unsupervised?" Maya questioned. "Don't you have someone looking after you?"

"Well there is Maria, our maid, but she's out on her holiday. Actually she said something about going to Washington too? Hmmm," Roxanne pondered the strange coincidence for a while. "That doesn't matter! We're home alone with no rules! And no one telling us what to do!"

"Ahem," a voice suddenly filled the room causing everyone to flinch. Roxanne gave out an annoyed sigh. "Miss Summers I do believe you are forgetting something."

Maya's eyes widened. "That voice! That's the voice we heard on the jet!" she yelled, looking wildly up at the ceiling. "How'd it get in here?"

"Roxanne," Alex warned sternly. "This had better not be another prank."

"Yes it is a prank," the voice drawled out sarcastically. "I am a ghost. This mansion is haunted. Get out while you still can. Boo."

"Ha ha ha… Get down here butt head! I'll introduce you okay! Geez," Roxanne whined as she glared at the ceiling.

Alex and Maya stared in shock as a metal orb hovered down from the ceiling. A small screen was at the front showing the image of a blue circle, making the orb look like a giant eye ball. It had a blue vertical stripe traced its middle and a red bow tie sitting just under the screen. It was some kind of robot.

Roxanne made a cough before speaking. "Ahem! Butler these are my new BFF's Alexandra Kay Turner and Maya lots-of-fancy-words Costa," she brought her arms up formally as she introduced them. "Alex, Maya, this is Butler. He is the Head of Security on the Manor and my father's assistant. He's also my-" she sighed. "-supervisor."

Alex just stood there dumbfounded. Maya was the first to speak. "Nice to meet you Butler!" she said cheerfully. This was kind of weird but she'd seen weirder and there was no way she going to be impolite.

"Charmed. It is a pleasure to meet you too," he replied, bobbing slightly. "And I apologise for the 'jet incident' earlier."

"It was pretty good though," Roxanne commented.

"Yes," Butler agreed. "You could say that I brought the place down."

Roxanne started to giggle madly as she brought her hand up for a high five. Butler bumped into the palm of her hand causing a clapping sound and the two continued laughing. Maya giggled somewhat unsurely, not really getting the joke. Alex just groaned at the awful pun.

Roxanne wiped her eyes as she stopped laughing. "Aw yeah, good times," she giggled again and straightened up, attempting to look serious. "Come on guys let's sit down. Butler go get us something to eat."

The robotic eyeball nodded and floated away from the hall and off to the left side, presumably towards the kitchen. Roxanne led the others to the front sitting room to the right. The room was green with a few couches that surrounded a television set in the corner. Roxanne slumped down on one of the couches and put her feet up on the coffee table, offering the seat next to her. Maya sat down while Alex settled for a single chair on the other side of the coffee table.

"Okay enough playing dumb, what was that?" Alex demanded, glaring at Roxanne from her seat.

Roxanne sat up. "That was Butler," she answered simply. "What you never saw a butler before?"

"No! I mean yes, I mean- Gah! You know what I mean!" Alex yelled, frustrated. "How'd you get a robot? And don't you dare tell you built it or so help me-"

"Pfft! Me? Nah I've made some pretty cool robots before but nothing sentient. No my dad made him back in the old days when the company was smaller and he only worked with weapons and robots not all this energy stuff," Roxanne waved her hand dramatically at the end of the sentence. "And it's he."

Alex huffed. "Okay he. But do you expect me to believe that an actual real live SENTIENT robot exists in your house?"

"Yes."

Alex stared at Roxanne for a while before just falling back into her chair. "You know what fine. Crazier things have happened today."

"Miss Summers the snacks have been served," the robotic eye came into the room, two small bowls of food rotating around him. He hovered over to the table and the bowls were carefully placed onto the table before Butler hovered back into the air.

"Oh wow! How did you do that?" Maya exclaimed, looking at the robotic eye with glee.
"It's sort of a mini, gravity magnetic field thingy that surrounds him," Roxanne explained. "It lets him fly around the house because they sort of help with the magnetic things. Can't do it outside though. He needs his little magnetic wire things to help him out. Right Butler?"

"If you want to overly simplify it, yes," Butler answered curtly, remaining in the air.
Maya reached for a snack, some kind of chocolate with nuts in it. "Wow that's really cool," she commented before putting the choc-lately snack into her mouth. "So what do we do now?"

"I think I should show you around the city!" Roxanne announced happily, jumping up from the sofa. "There are so many places I need to show you. Like the park, the science museum, dad's office and, uh… Everywhere else!"

"Uh, Miss Summers," Butler started his head nodding in the direction of the two girls. Maya was yawning while Alex was slumped in her chair.

"Hawwh, no thanks Rox," Maya yawned, sitting more comfortably on the sofa. "I don't think I have enough energy in me."

"That's what happens after plane rides," Alex commented. "And you know. Being scared out of your wits."

"Hahaha, you like to hold a grudge don't you," Roxanne said dryly. "Well what do you guys want to do!"

"Oh! Oh!" Maya sat up excitably. "Why don't we watch 'Super Mega Awesome Space Robots Supreme!?'"

Alex nodded. "I wouldn't mind watching that. And seeing it with you guys."

"Oh! I'll go get the disks from my room! I've got the full twenty season boxset!" Roxanne announced, running out of the room. "You guys set up the TV!"

"Allow me to do that for you," Butler offered politely as the television seemingly turned itself on. The news was on with a reporter standing in front of what looked like the wreckage of a burning plane nearby an airport.

"-witnesses that dealt with the emergency first hand state that robots invaded the airport earlier today. They soon attacked the a place that was delivering the world famous Dragon Gem, said to be one of the most expensive gems in the world-"

"Wow so you guys were telling the truth about the airport incident. Yikes," Alex commented, paying close attention to the television.

"-after attacking the plane it was destroyed by the robots as they escaped. Luckily all personnel were off the place at the time of its destruction. No other deaths or injuries have been reported. From the look of the designs of these robots they seem to be made by notorious super villain Dr. Magna who has been plaguing Rodin City since last year. She-"

Maya frowned. "Alex you were right about the whole super villain thing. Hmmm, Hunter is going to be worried."

"Hey don't worry Maya," Alex comforted. "I'm pretty sure the whole super villain thing isn't going to affect us too much. I mean, thewir to busy stealing gems not bothering girls like us."

"Heh," Maya laughed. "Yeah you're right! But still…"

"If I may Miss Costa, I believe I have something that may cheer you up," Butler hovered towards Maya with a large looking book hovering around him.

Maya grabbed the book and held it in her hands, looking at it oddly. "What is it?"

Butler chuckled as Maya opened the book, seeing what was inside. "Family photos. The baby photo edition."

Maya looked at the photos with wide eyes, staring at all the embarrassing childhood photos that had been taken of Roxanne over the years. She turned to Butler with a wide smile. "Eeeeeeeeeeeee! Thank you!"

The two giggled as they looked though the book and pointed things out, discussing what could be used as the best blackmail material. Alex watched, so much for Maya being innocent. She was as cheeky as they come.

However Alex couldn't help worrying about the news report. Rodin City WAS known for its extremely high super villain rate, but she hadn't really thought of the danger until now. Who knew how many criminal minds would be lurking around in the city? Hopefully nobody she knew.

She put those thoughts out of her head. No, she had already almost gone and spilled the beans earlier today. No use reminding herself of things the others shouldn't know about. They were better off not knowing. Instead Alex turned her attention back to the television to set it up and waited for Roxanne to come back with the episodes of their favourite show.

Meanwhile in a far off secret location inside of a secret lair a woman sits in a chair looking over many computer screens embedded into the wall. She smiles as she notices one of the screens shows a pair robots coming down the hallway, a concealed object in their hands. She stands up quickly, stepping into the light. She is revealed to have a dark complexion and pink hair in a bun, wearing a pink latex suit with green goggles covering her eyes.

She watches as the two robots stand before her. They bow politely. "Mistress Magna," one of the robots speaks. "We have succeeded in our primary objective. The object has been obtained."

The eyes behind Magna's goggles shone in delight. "Let me see it."

The robot carrying the object kneeled on the ground, raising the object into Magna's reach. She picked it up, it was a dark bag. She slowly put her hand inside and smiled widely when out came the Dragon Gem.

"This is perfect!" she squealed, holding the gem up in the air, as happy as can be. "Finally the steps in my master plan are falling into place! Soon! Everyone we be bowing down to me! As there supreme ruler! Hahahaha!"

"Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha," the robots repeated in a dull monotone, but just as enthused as their creator. "All praise Mistress Magna. All praise the future ruler of Rodin City."

"Oooooh not just Rodin City my boys," Magna cooed, turning away from them dramatically. She walked the railing that entered a much bigger room. Construction equipment filled the room, it was unclear what was being built, but it was huge in size.

"The future ruler… OF THE WORLD!"

"No! I mean yes, I mean- Gah! You know what I mean!" Alex yelled, frustrated. "How'd you get a robot? And don't you dare tell you built it or so help me-"

"Pfft! Me? Nah I've made some pretty cool robots before but nothing sentient. No my dad made him back in the old days when the company was smaller and he only worked with weapons and robots not all this energy stuff," Roxanne waved her hand dramatically at the end of the sentence. "And it's he."

Alex huffed. "Okay he. But do you expect me to believe that an actual real live SENTIENT robot exists in your house?"

"Yes."

Alex stared at Roxanne for a while before just falling back into her chair. "You know what fine. Crazier things have happened today."

"Miss Summers the snacks have been served," the robotic eye came into the room, two small bowls of food rotating around him. He hovered over to the table and the bowls were carefully placed onto the table before Butler hovered back into the air.

"Oh wow! How did you do that?" Maya exclaimed, looking at the robotic eye with glee.
"It's sort of a mini, gravity magnetic field thingy that surrounds him," Roxanne explained. "It lets him fly around the house because they sort of help with the magnetic things. Can't do it outside though. He needs his little magnetic wire things to help him out. Right Butler?"

"If you want to overly simplify it, yes," Butler answered curtly, remaining in the air.
Maya reached for a snack, some kind of chocolate with nuts in it. "Wow that's really cool," she commented before putting the choc-lately snack into her mouth. "So what do we do now?"

"I think I should show you around the city!" Roxanne announced happily, jumping up from the sofa. "There are so many places I need to show you. Like the park, the science museum, dad's office and, uh… Everywhere else!"

"Uh, Miss Summers," Butler started his head nodding in the direction of the two girls. Maya was yawning while Alex was slumped in her chair.

"Hawwh, no thanks Rox," Maya yawned, sitting more comfortably on the sofa. "I don't think I have enough energy in me."

"That's what happens after plane rides," Alex commented. "And you know. Being scared out of your wits."

"Hahaha, you like to hold a grudge don't you," Roxanne said dryly. "Well what do you guys want to do!"

"Oh! Oh!" Maya sat up excitably. "Why don't we watch 'Super Mega Awesome Space Robots Supreme!?'"

Alex nodded. "I wouldn't mind watching that. And seeing it with you guys."

"Oh! I'll go get the disks from my room! I've got the full twenty season boxset!" Roxanne announced, running out of the room. "You guys set up the TV!"

"Allow me to do that for you," Butler offered politely as the television seemingly turned itself on. The news was on with a reporter standing in front of what looked like the wreckage of a burning plane nearby an airport.

"-witnesses that dealt with the emergency first hand state that robots invaded the airport earlier today. They soon attacked the a place that was delivering the world famous Dragon Gem, said to be one of the most expensive gems in the world-"

"Wow so you guys were telling the truth about the airport incident. Yikes," Alex commented, paying close attention to the television.

"-after attacking the plane it was destroyed by the robots as they escaped. Luckily all personnel were off the place at the time of its destruction. No other deaths or injuries have been reported. From the look of the designs of these robots they seem to be made by notorious super villain Dr. Magna who has been plaguing Rodin City since last year. She-"

Maya frowned. "Alex you were right about the whole super villain thing. Hmmm, Hunter is going to be worried."

"Hey don't worry Maya," Alex comforted. "I'm pretty sure the whole super villain thing isn't going to affect us too much. I mean, thewir to busy stealing gems not bothering girls like us."

"Heh," Maya laughed. "Yeah you're right! But still…"

"If I may Miss Costa, I believe I have something that may cheer you up," Butler hovered towards Maya with a large looking book hovering around him.

Maya grabbed the book and held it in her hands, looking at it oddly. "What is it?"

Butler chuckled as Maya opened the book, seeing what was inside. "Family photos. The baby photo edition."

Maya looked at the photos with wide eyes, staring at all the embarrassing childhood photos that had been taken of Roxanne over the years. She turned to Butler with a wide smile. "Eeeeeeeeeeeee! Thank you!"

The two giggled as they looked though the book and pointed things out, discussing what could be used as the best blackmail material. Alex watched, so much for Maya being innocent. She was as cheeky as they come.

However Alex couldn't help worrying about the news report. Rodin City WAS known for its extremely high super villain rate, but she hadn't really thought of the danger until now. Who knew how many criminal minds would be lurking around in the city? Hopefully nobody she knew.

She put those thoughts out of her head. No, she had already almost gone and spilled the beans earlier today. No use reminding herself of things the others shouldn't know about. They were better off not knowing. Instead Alex turned her attention back to the television to set it up and waited for Roxanne to come back with the episodes of their favourite show.

Meanwhile in a far off secret location inside of a secret lair a woman sits in a chair looking over many computer screens embedded into the wall. She smiles as she notices one of the screens shows a pair robots coming down the hallway, a concealed object in their hands. She stands up quickly, stepping into the light. She is revealed to have a dark complexion and pink hair in a bun, wearing a pink latex suit with green goggles covering her eyes.

She watches as the two robots stand before her. They bow politely. "Mistress Magna," one of the robots speaks. "We have succeeded in our primary objective. The object has been obtained."

The eyes behind Magna's goggles shone in delight. "Let me see it."

The robot carrying the object kneeled on the ground, raising the object into Magna's reach. She picked it up, it was a dark bag. She slowly put her hand inside and smiled widely when out came the Dragon Gem.

"This is perfect!" she squealed, holding the gem up in the air, as happy as can be. "Finally the steps in my master plan are falling into place! Soon! Everyone we be bowing down to me! As there supreme ruler! Hahahaha!"

"Ha. Ha. Ha. Ha," the robots repeated in a dull monotone, but just as enthused as their creator. "All praise Mistress Magna. All praise the future ruler of Rodin City."

"Oooooh not just Rodin City my boys," Magna cooed, turning away from them dramatically. She walked the railing that entered a much bigger room. Construction equipment filled the room, it was unclear what was being built, but it was huge in size.

"The future ruler… OF THE WORLD!"
