well, i just doodle without having a clear idea of what it's going to end up as.. and the more detail you put into a picture, the less the individual details matter. so if you, for instance, fill an entire page with simple and quick geometrical shapes, it looks a whole lot more interesting when you see the whole picture simply because there's so many of them. of course, drawing a nail 60 times does require some patience
