The dogy is my doggy. The kitchen is a mixture of my family's kitchen and my imagination.Used EXTENSIVE layouts for this.

its a great piece, i really like it. there's no shame in appropriation, so long as you admit, it isn't 100% yours, it's the way plenty of successful artists work, but sharing and acknowledging sources of inspiration and reference.

If you used as a reference or a trace (some parts) you should include that in your work description. I'm not trying to start arguments truly just trying to link the two.

i agree with this comment, in fact i had wanted to say something earlier about this work and the photo. this drawing seems copied almost exactly from the photo and while i loved the drawing initially, i have no respect people who will claim credit for the ideas of another. at least have some kind of ethic to say oh you know, i also referenced this from xxx.Β

I wouldn't mind if it was exactly copied long as they related it back. Heck that picture/photograph COULD on a slim chance be theirs too. I never neglected that fact, but still brought it up. I think them saying they used "extensive layouts" just kinda of defeats the purpose. If I have a reference for anything I try to include it. Even if it's an inspiration for something. Of if it's something I have done already.Β
