i know it should be all about the shrooms but i think the big/bold blades of grass in the foreground really steal the show.
excellent colour and angle.. i love the balance but Colette was right about the placing of the flare..i like that it's there. the placing is just off somewhat.
other than that, my first thought was smurf-realty.

I like the way the orderedness of the windows in the building balance with the unorderlyness of the mushrooms, I like the lighting and high contrast of the shrooms and the grass.
I think that the subject would be more interesting if some of the grass in front of the mushrooms had been moved or pulled away to see the stems of the shrooms, I think that would have made a better picture, but I also think that nature shouldn't be messed with most of the time.
Overall the picture is very good!
So do what you will with this comment as I am simply stating opinion.

Well, it wasn't so much nature as it was the lawn surrounding the water treatment plant with the "No Trespassing" signs all over the place.
But I get the idea.

Ahahahahahahaaa, my comment was much less intelligent than ~PsychoColette 's. i'll try to make it better, though.
i really like the sun off to the side a bit, and how it shines slightly through the grass. nowadays photographers that i know try to get the sun completely centered, which looks completely retarded.
great focus on the mushrooms, alot of good color in this shot.

In the rule of thirds, the best place to place the focal point is 1/3 from any of the edges on a photo.
