Description
Something I did from life quite a long time ago (maybe 6 years...) Just found it in a drawer during a visit to my family. I'm afraid it has suffered from the ravages of time, but I like it despite the stains and various marks. I might try to put it back into shape if I get bored - my old pastels were in the drawer too.Sennelier pastels on Velvet paper.

Beautiful job! I love the little patterns in the skin, and I love the wonderful hints of color in this- not just one brownish shade, like so many skin tones I'm used to seeing. The highlights and shadows are perfect! Great job.

Thank you for your kind words! I always find skin very difficult to draw, it really helped me to focus on a particular body part. But I'm afraid I still fail to represent it accurately just from memory. Trying hard though...

I have a hard time with that too, and I am just now trying to get into color. From what I see, though, you're doing great! And I'm sure it'll just be a practice thing, too.

Thank you again! Yes, practice is key, but color takes a lot more time than B&W (for me at least, probably because I'm not really used to it yet) so progress always feels very slow. I guess it's a case of being patient and working towards your goal...

Yeah. But then, its such a great feeling when you get a good result after a lot of hard work!
