To start off, a big sorry to those of you who loved him as a Lucario. I know this sort of change can really suck, but as I hope I've made clear in the past, I'm just tired of having OCs who I can't really claim 100% ownership of. I love Pokemon and still do, but aside from Tick, my Wigglytuff boi, I'll be gradually tweaking or revising all my characters who are based on other franchises so that I can finally call them mine. In some cases that may just be as minor as Carrie not being called a creeper anymore, with no actual change to her design. But in the case of Jake and April, it's necessary to change them so that they really aren't Pokemon. Thus, Jake's now a wolf (albeit a strangely coloured wolf~) and April's a bunny, as are Jamie and Jackie. While I feel the twins are far enough away from Lopunny that they don't need a redesign, April will be getting a minor one, but not as much as Jake's.I hope this isn't a deal breaker for those of you who really like Jake. He's still the same old Jake. He just looks different now. To be honest, it wasn't too much of a stretch to make him a wolf boy, since he never really looked too much like a Lucario anyway~ Needless to say, this is how I'll be drawing him from now on. Hope you guys like!

Let's see... Slightly rearranged colors, no more thick black borders between colors, three visible toes (which actually makes him look moreΒ like canon Lucario), a more vulpine muzzle and ears... and presumably he's thrown out the ceremonial chest-spike. The new face will take a little getting used to, but really nothing much has changed.

I tried not to mess with his design too much, albeit keeping in mind that I had to try to make him not-a-lucario. Hopefully this design works~

I'm really digging his redesign! I like how you kept the color palette of his previous form, it really adds to his design I think. I can't wait to see how April turns out!

His design isn't bad at all, I do like how you kept his color scheme which will make him recognizable, who knows, maybe as a gag we could end up catching him as he dyes his fur XD

Do you plan on making 'remixes' of your old comics depicting him and April?

I don't think I have the energy or motivation for that, but those comics are still canon in every way but their appearances.
I mean, who knows how I'll feel in the future. I know people love those comics, so maybe one day, I'll give a remix a shot.
