Description This painting is dedicated to because I have been promising her Resident Evil fan artwork for a very long time now.

Darn scanner doesn't do justice to the actual thing! *Roars in annoyance*

I'm so happy with how this painting came out. I think it's my best in my entire gallery! And OMG, look...an actual background! I had so much fun drawing this. Watercolours are awesome for making rusty, moldy, watermarked effects on the walls, ladder, & floors. (After all, everything in the game looks like this...all dark & rusty & kind of creepy looking.)

And nah, Carlos [Oliveira] isn't shorter than Jill [Valentine] here; he's kind of standing a couple of feet back from her. I also gave him more bulky proportions are well, making Jill more svelte. In the game he has this South American accent, but I wonder where he's supposed to be from? Colombia? Venezuela?

Drawing Resident Evil/Biohazard fan artwork is so much fun. It makes me want to do some more.

Hello! Thank you so much for commenting on this. I'm glad you like this. I think this is one of my best works in the gallery, mainly due to the background (since I'm so bad with bg's, but this came out nicely). Also, thank you x3 for the on 3 of my other artworks. It means a lot to me.

Wow, thanks for the great comment on this (especially for the ). I loved drawing Jill & Carlos. I would like to do more RE fan art in the future (since I love those games). Now only if RE5 would actually come out...

The detail on this Resident Evil fan art is truly awesome. Every small area has tender loving care. The background has the same care to detail as the figures in the foreground. Excellent work. More please.

Thanks for commenting on this! This artwork is different than the kind I usually do & I enjoyed it very much, due to the darker theme and colours. It was fun creating the background. (Actually, I was surprised I came up with such a good background. I'm usually horrible with backgrounds!)

Who gives me such horrible notions? I do! *laughs at myself* Compared to a lot of the art here at DA, my backgrounds are really bad. I need a lot of practice with them. This pic is the only one (that I've done) that has a real background.

Well, don't be so hard on yourself. Everyone can always find someone else who does it better. You just express yourself as best you can and let people appreciate your work. Don't worry about getting better. If you love it, it will happen.

Wow, thanks for especially noticing how I did the metal. Since the Resident Evil games are so dark & rusty, I had a really fun time creating the background. Watercolours are really good for making things look mottled and watermarked.

Thanks once again for yet another great comment & a on it as well. The games are really good. I haven't played them in such a long time, so it was fun to look back at the character designs & make a fan artwork out of it. I've always liked Jill and Carlos as a pair, even though they are just comrades in the game.

Thank you, fellow stargazer! I'm happy you like it! Doing a painting with a darker theme was a heck lot of fun, especially since my artwork is known to be brightly coloured in.

Off note: Is it just me, or is Mars getting brighter every week?

Well, mars is actually getting dimmer now It was at its closest on xmas eve and earth and mars are now going off in opposite directions Oh well, saturn is showing itself just below leo now. Look for the yellow 'star' just underneath the lion It doesn't show where saturn is in this diagram, but it's just to the left of where it says 'leo' in yellow[link] rev=/images%3Fq%3Dleo%2Bconstellation%26um%3D1&start=2&sa=X&oi=images&ct=image&cd=2

Thanks for commenting on this. I'm happy to read that you put down that they look realistic. For this particular fan art (and also for the Final Fantasy XII fan artworks), I apply a more realistic element to it, mixed in with my usual manga-style.

Thank you so much for the nice comment on this. I'm very happy & double-thanks for the on it as well. I had a really great time doing a fan art for Resident Evil. It is one of my favourite game serious but I had never done fan art for it until now. I really like the darker themes to it. (Seeing as the majority of my artwork is brightly coloured.)

I'm not sure if I will make any more fan artwork. I only have one more FFXII fan artwork left & have run out of ideas. I'm going to start working on my original artwork. But every so often, I probably just might do a fan artwork once every blue moon. As for RE fan art in particular, I had two ideas in mind but I'd have to sketch them out.

Thanks for another and another great comment. I'm glad you like the background; I had a blast creating such a eerie, warehouse-like background. And the rust, stains, and watermarks were fun as well, since watercolours are great for making that sort of effect.

Thank you so much for commenting on this. I'm glad you like the shading. It is a different kind of shading that I usually do, but I had fun with it. And I'm glad you also like how I draw the legs; I try to make the girls look like they have a bit of muscle in them. It taken me years to even get legs to look right.

Thank you so much for that comment. I was practicing more with proportions & also perspective/angle (the background). It bg came out 10x more than I expected. I'm so horrible at backgrounds, that's why they are never in my artwork. But the dark themes (that are in RE) was a lot of fun for me. I think I'm better at this darker, rusty, water-marked kind of artwork.
