thereΒ΄s nothing about egon schiele in this drawing. more about walt and disney.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Natalie79 In reply to kaiiser [2006-06-02 18:29:04 +0000 UTC]

If you look at the sharp edges in the lines in some of the drawings, the somewhat scribble yet organized manner, and the way the form flows, I see a bit of egon, however minus the 'dark' feeling I get from his paintings. That's the first thing that came to mind.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

kaiiser In reply to Natalie79 [2006-06-03 20:05:56 +0000 UTC]

iΒ΄m austrian and so i saw schiele stuff more than once. i think for schiele itΒ΄s too less anatomic and every figure got too much fat... not like schieles childish and bulemic stuff... if youΒ΄re talking about the line only... mybe a little bit. but schiele was too less controled in his lines for this stuff. too constructed. the drawings over here have more flow than schiele. itΒ΄s just that the styles are not influenced by each other. but, like everywhere, this is a thing which is in the eye of the viewer... or: i canΒ΄t say youΒ΄re wrong. AND: we both love those lines (schiele and those over here).. hehe.

"...but, like everywhere, this is a thing which is in the eye of the viewer."

Exactly, Schiele is just simply the feeling that came to me, minus the morbid style.

And Austria is beautiful! I loved Vienna the most, I visited it after graduating from the fine arts academy in flroence, and after visitng Vienna i was kind of jealous that i didn't think of vienna first, you have a wonderful country

yup.... pandas r good to. i think bears n pandas r good to draw cos they have some contours on their bodies right.... n it's easier to exaggerate on them....
