"ate/ kuya! Hagis!"* --the local children chants as they swim beside the docked ferry, asking passengers to toss some coins so they could dive for it. It's in a port where huge marine vessels dock, so you could imagine that the water is definitely deep.

The ferry staff kept on warning and reprimanding passengers not to indulge the children in their requests as it puts them in danger. The children on the other hand are pissed off with the staff as they interfere in their "earnings" for the day.
...what would you have done-- toss a few pennies, or not?
