Duck smoothed the top of her black mane, speaking softly to her as they stood in the gate, waiting. The mare had an outstanding record, 2 firsts and 1 second in 3 starts and even though he knew the mare was confident, Duck himself was nervous. Belle scared him. The raw power surging through her muscles was something that shouldn't be contained. It was a wild animal that when set free, lit up the track and left it smoking. To much control, and the mare fought and flamed her way to the front, no matter the cost. He had to play a game with her. Give her her head. Let her sell her soul to her own pace, as long as she came back to Ducky when his soft hands asked the beast to return under wraps. The mare was learning, however she had her moments.

The bell sounded and the jockey quickly let the wild savage take control. She burned to the front of the pack, eyes glaring and nostrils flared. Once she had declared the front line hers, she felt the soft tug, tug, tug on her mouth and brought herself under control. However, her eyes still flamed at her opponents, warning them that if they set so much as a foot in front of her, she would release the demon again.
