Description
To commemorate the 20th anniversary of Pokemon, I drew all the original character designs of the male Pokemon trainers, that means no remakes or sequels E.g. Black 2 and White 2. I know that the background is pretty half assed but I literally couldn't think of a better background. I used the colour palette of the sprites in game to colour the trainers, that's why Red is black and white and Gold is that sepia-ish colour.

Pokémon has been one of the largest part of my childhood and I'm slightly mad at myself when I stopped caring about the franchise 7 years ago. To me Pokémon wasn't just a game, it gave me a sense of adventure, making me want to explore our vast world and meet new people, that sense of adventure left me when I left Pokémon...
I still remember little bits of memories from my time playing Pokémon, from picking my very first starter in Ruby, then using the Pokémon I cared for dearly to battle Mewtwo in Fire red and finally, battling through Kanto all over again and fighting the Pokémon Master atop Mt. Silver in Pokémon Crystal. This franchise has been an essential part of not only my childhood, but my life, and I love watching the franchise I dearly loved as a kid grow more and more over the years.
