She's one of my favorites, to which there are a great few of as I never cared much for that show, the plot started to lose me.
Who cares if she can kill with her looks in the literal sense, who can't.
And so pretty and under appriciated too.

I just wish they done a better job with her. If Siefer from Final Fantasy VIII got to be friends with Fujin and Raijin again at the end of the game, why not a second chance for her with her friends?

You mean how Azula suddenly went mad and suddenly didn't know how to firebend, despite the comet's powers? Or how Zuko all of a sudden knew exactly how to firebend and managed to run faster than lightning and SURVIVED being struck by lightning? I mean, come on! Katara used normal water! Aang had to have holy Spirit Water from a special oasis.. Ah. Yes. Plot-holes.

At first Azula losing her mind seemed out of left field, but then when I sat down and thought about it, it made sense. I just chalk it up to her having a nervous breakdown or something along those lines. It just happened to come at the most inopportune time for her.
Zuko surviving the lightning blast... I assumed that was because he did actually redirect some of it, whereas Aang took a full on blast. So regular water would heal Zuko, but Aang needed spirit water from the oasis because he actually died.
However, there was one thing that seemed absolutely insane to me. Why, oh why, would Zuko and Katara go to the Fire Nation alone on the day of the comet to fight Azula? Seriously, did Iroh magically know Azula was going to go bonkers and banish everyone (and how did he know that she'd be in the FN and not with Ozai attacking the EK)? Because if she hadn't, they would have been totally screwed.

Nervous breakdown I can accept... but it makes no sense for her to go completely batshit insane. In my head, she'd get over it eventually.
Zuzu survived the blast because he redirected some of it, yeah. But still! He ran FASTER than lightning??

You know... I've been wondering the same thing. It seems illogical and, frankly, extremely stupid. But perhaps the Order of the While Lotus was informed? Still... doesn't make much sense for them to go alone..

Hmm... running faster than lightning. That wasn't something I noticed, but yeah, he would have had to do that in order to stop it from hitting Katara. But I guess there are just certain things you need to suspend disbelief for in cartoons.
Another thing that didn't make sense was how Azula was able to bend lightning in the finale. According to Iroh in "Bitter Work," a bender needs to have complete peace of mind in order to bend lightning. It seemed like during the comet, she didn't have anything close to peace of mind.

Bend lightning... ah. I'm not sure why she was able to do that. Because she's a prodigy enhanced by Sozin's Comet? Because she knows it so well, that she doesn't even need to have peace of mind? Zuko's mind was conflicted with right and wrong when he tried to bend lightning, but Azula was sure that what she was doing was right, so... that was probably all the peace of mind she needed.

I thought the reason Zuzu couldn't bend lightning wasn't because he didn't know the difference between right and wrong, but because of his shame? Doesn't matter, I guess. Either way, the kid was a cranky emo boy, so he never did have peace of mind.

Maybe she got worried about Zuzu getting his butt kicked when Azula started powering up the ΓΌber-lightning or something... but she knew that he knew how to redirect it! *sigh*
I'm.. still not sure why Azula was able to bend lightning and Zuko wasn't. Maybe Iroh is full of crap and all it takes is skill, something that Zuzu doesn't have!
