This is my drawing of the cover of the book "Sold" by Patricia McCormick.

I drew this piece for an art project I had to do for English class. The assignment was to read a book and then do an art piece on it, so I drew the girl on the cover of the book.

I would just like to say that this book is beautifully written and is probably one of my favorite books now. It is about a young girl, Lakshmi, who is from Nepal, is tricked by her step father and is sold into slavery. It is written in poem form and is filled with great plot twists and turns. I couldn't put the book down. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

All together it took about two hours. Materials are an HB pencil and my sketchpad.
