Perhaps it is because I no longer had you by my side, I could no longer gaze into your eyes, I could no longer feel your sweet lips. Maybe, it is because I can no longer hold you in my arms, hear your voice. We used to hold each other for hours, just laying there in the comfort of the others embrace. I remember our hands intermingled and our fingers interlocked as we stood in the rain. We used to whisper in the winds. Now you have gone out of my sight. I retreat back into the gloom and dread of this melancholy cave, remembering all those sweet times, and seeing none of the same genuine honesty in those that now surround me.
