What does it mean to be yourself, To stand up with the courage of fire, To be all you were meant to be?

Where is the sand that led your feet, The path so narrow only you could see, did the wind sweep it away, or did you change where you need to be?

Who do you look to when you have no where left to go, Do you look to God when you are in sorrow, or is it shame that keeps you from those you love, Who would take you in?

What does it mean when they catch you looking up at the sky, Are you talking to God, Are you watching the birds be free as they fly, Are you waiting for purity among the tiniest drops of rain?

What does freedom mean.......

Is it the expression written into history?

Is it alive, beating in every heart that bears hope?

Is it the ability to take the blame, and still not be knocked down?

Is it the strength to stand before the giants and say I am who I was meant to be?

When you read the Bible, do you see words telling an intriguing tale of what the past may have been like, discovering the pain of men that may have walked, or see the guide behind the humble words that lead to new life?

If man is afraid of change, Then why does it seem natural to break engagements, To move dates, to go our in search of oneself?

Why is it that what is easiest is never the right thing to do?
Why is it that men are cowards when no one watches them?
Why is it that no one seems to know what right is?

I will take a stand and break this new mangled normal, to storm the gates of hell and stand upon the promises made to me.

I will uphold the treasures granted and not follow the mirages casting me off the path that is least followed and most difficult to attain. I will be the man I was born to be.

The toil will be long and hard, the path winding and difficult, the journey worth it in the end. I will grow, I will learn, I will make mistakes, but eventually, I will be a man.
