Description
This is a particularly special key, it is my first USB key made from historic wood.I hand carved the chassis out of oak taken from the HMS Victory ship. I have integrated a high quality 32GB USB stick. It features a unique mechanical movement created from individual watch parts salvaged from irreparable movements. A red LED light has been incorporated to the design, which flashes when in use. A brass face plate has been added to surround the USB connector. The key comes complete with a lid hand carved to represent the bow of the ship.
The keys comes in custom packaging with a paper provenance as proof of authenticity as shown in the bottom photo. I also will be including an oxidized iron nail I removed from the original wood which is featured in the top photo next to the USB key.
This item will soon be available for purchase.

That is very very cool. My brother is a serious naval history buff, Especially for things of the Royal Navy and the Royal Canadian Navy. If these aren't too far out of my price range, I may have to buy him one for next Christmas.

Hands dow my favorite one of yours yet. As always the design is great, but the history that goes along with it makes it that much more awesome. Nicely done.

Where and how did you end up getting that particular piece of wood to do that with?

Do the gears and little parts move?
I've always wondered that about your fancy USB sticks.

Hi there, thanks for your interest. Up to now, all of the gears on my items have been static/cosmetic. However, I'm working on three new designs that will have many moving parts. You can expect to start seeing them within the next three months!

Remember Trafalgar..!!!
One of your finest pieces, I do think.
Probably gonna be one of your most expensive as well.
Betting it will be worth every penny.
Excellent.

That is absolutely gorgeous! The fact that it's made with historic wood - and the watch parts, and the brass plate, and the shape, and the nail, and the certificate!
This is a very, very special piece. You make incredible things, my friend, good work. (:

Thanks man! I actually felt quite a lot of pressure with this piece, knowing how rare & special the wood is, but I'm delighted with how it worked out... Thanks so much for your kind words!
