This was just gonna be a warmup doodle but it turned into a parody of a Snotgirl panel lol... My mobile data was pretty fast earlier but it's really slow now so I can't give a link but the original reference is from issue #1.

For those who don't know Ash is an OC I've had for a long time &I've made lots of changes to him and now I want to change him again urp. He was a Ratchet and Clank OC, &I tried to make him fandomless w/ a more humanoid design but though I didn't really get the chance to do a lot with that idea before moving& losing the WiFi, I still prefer his robotic design. Though here I've drawn him with hair more like his human design & I like that & I think the blogger story for him suits right. I'll keep tweaking him cuz I love him a lot P:

I always imagined Ash as being like the NPCs in the PS2 R&C trilogy, they don't show up as much in the PS4 games nor Deadlocked, but I always loved those one off characters that were just doing their own thing while Ratchet and Clank tried to save the galaxy & maybe they'd sell or trade Ratchet something and then be on their way. I can imagine Ash stumbling onto some infobot containing the evil plot of the villain of the week or something and just casually stating that he's gonna put it on his blog for them views until Clank tells him that it might be crucial to saving the galaxy & then Ash would try to sell it to them & Ratchet might scold Clank for blabbing and making them have to pay for something they'd otherwise get for free. I always found it funny how in R&C3 especially the NPCs you talk to aren't too worried about the villain's plot and so Ratchet&co. are the only ones who really care and so you have to grease hands to get any help from people around you. The newer games are a bit less cynical & Deadlocked had a reason why there weren't just people floating about on the planets you visited, but it's kind of a shame because I would have liked to see more of those characters.
