Description
Look up, what do you see?All of you and all of me
Fluorescent and starry
Some of them, they surprise
Fields of poppies, little pearls,
All the boys and all the girls
Swee-toothed...
Each and every one a little scary,
I said your name...
I can't look it in the eyes
Seconal, Spanish fly, absinthe, kerosene...
Cherry flavored neck and collar
I can smell the sorrow on your breath,
The sweat, the victory
...and sorrow

Ok...
Things I love about this picture:
1. THE WALLPAPER - gorgeously old-fashioned
2. That guy's face - It's pretty
3. The mirror - I'm just vain
4. The lighting - very nostalgic feeling
This is a GREAT shot.

Hey Stephen, nice shot! Heh, I've been for some time offline, and now, the same young skinhead, I like it. I'm similar to him, just a little bit, just younger

Awwww thanx kiddo. Y'now it's funny since a few people commented about how cheesy they felt this hotel looked but I adore the seedy glamour. Apparently I'm not the only one who thought so. [link]

Thanx Taylor. I usually just take pix wherever I end up. If I can get one of my friends to stand still for the camera we might go up to their rooftop or street corner. This particular pic is from a cruddy hotel room on the lower East side of Manhattan. [link]
I also shoot a lot in the meatpacking district because it's deserted during the day and has some nice cobblestone streets. If you get there early enough in the morning you can watch men in bloody white smocks load the the slabs of beef onto the hanging meathooks.
I don't think it's in the tourist guides but it's a nice place to visit!

I can only ever see photographic potential anymore, it doesn't matter where I go, its all for the pictures, and so, when I visit other places or countries, I always drag everyone through the "worst" areas imaginable, but its all worth it.
I sometimes laugh to think that if I were captured and held hostage for ransom, I would only really be bummed cause I couldn't take pictures of the whole ordeal.

Ahhh Taylor, you've just articulated the most important tool of a geniune artist/photographer.
I tell ya kiddo...fuck the special lenses and lights and doo-dads that everyone seems to think will make them a good photographer. It may...but it won't may them an 'interesting' photographer.
Look forward to seeing more from you

Gorgeous guy + eccentric wallpaper = a very foreboding atmosphere.
He looks as if he has just committed a crime, whether criminal in the judicial sense or the emotional...who knows. Very cool image though.
