Okay, it was kind of obvious i'd fell in love with the new french/japanese TV show Basquash, because of the insane fan service but not only that...if you have doubts about a show mixing Mecha and Basketball, give yourself a pleasure and take a look at the first episode, all doubt will fade away.
This is the best show of this spring, by far.
and no, i'm not saying this because i've got friends working on it (*proud*)!

The Mecha look like they were infulenced by Megas XLR, a very good series that never got a chance(like SWAT KATS, and many more toons fron Cartoon Network). They just inpoved it, maybe by looking at all the Megas fan art here maybe?

french and japanese are used to work together...
the most recent exemple is Oban Star Racer (by the same co-diretor than Basquash), but even in the 80's they've worked together on big hits (very famous in france) like this : [link] or this : [link] and plenty of others.

I consider the French as the masters of animation after the Japanese. Whenever they join into animation, something GREAT comes out. Any links? ^^

so it's from the guy who made macross and code lyoko? to be honest i only liked the cg sequences in code lyoko and never really watched macross. but i like mecha so the trailer i just saw looks promising.

Hey, thanks for introducing me to a series that has changed my veiw about sports anime! Episode one, mecha, love triangle, fan service, the works, fan service(oh wait, I said that already)! Three shades of awesome.

just checked it out and oh my god! this has to be the gratest anime to be released since Bleach! the animation is so fresh and vibrant and the story line seems to be off to a good start and Miuyki (spelling?) is quite pleasing to the eye

Went and watched the first episode (via legal DVD purchases, of course... *cough*), and wow! It's kinda cheesy if you think about it too hard, but it's a good kinda cheesy! I love it.
I'm thinking Miyuki is gonna have a lot of fans...

Great! I saw the Trailer and I'm looking forward to it! Very original. reminds me of Jet grind raido, but b-ball/Mech themed. When does it come out subtitled in japan?
