I don't know if you're into computer games, but this picture reminds me a lot of the near final scenes in Syberia, especially that somewhat cold view to outside. The calm and lonely feeling in this photo is very similar to the game, where the character goes to a remote spa which kind of reminds me of a hospital.
It's fun to get reminded of other scenery through another picture... What I like the most in this are the blue colours in the treetops against the rusty indoors. It gives me a feeling of frost.

i'm the occasional gamer but I've never heard about Syberia. I do agree about the cold atmosphere in this shot- that's pretty much what you feel in that particular place.

Heh, if I could choose, I too would have more lenghty comments than favourites for my pictures. That's why I feel guilty for going on faving sprees without commenting. Your gallery was just filled with so many good pictures that I didn't have time to comment, just faved them like a madman. Sorry for that.

I like how you didn't dull down the blue sky outside the windows; it really gives the photograph an entirely different mood, and the fact that it goes outside of the normal boundaries of what one does with abandoned hospital photography really emphasizes the beauty of this shot.

it is indeed what I tried to do... I grew tired of these perfectly-overexposed shots of abandonments. This is in fact much closer to what you're seeing when you walk into such a room.
