Description Finally!  Getting back to these.

If you want to find the light/dark sides of the torso, you can draw cubes around the chest and hips. I've been playing with that, but liked the more organic feel of the beanbag better, and if you want to find the planes you can always sketch in the cubes.

Hips next week! Because hips need their own tutorial!

Useful guide, thanks! I especially liked the back and sides view, most torso tutorials don't really mention that. And the beanbag method sounds good, I'll try that out next time, usually I just use a line for the backbone and a circle on top for the ribcage, and often times that needs adjusted later because it was the ribs were too small or the backbone too long.

You're welcome!  I like the beanbag because it keeps everything in one package instead of separating the chest from the hips. You can always then go and draw the ribcage and hips in and adjust as necessary.

Good luck with it!
