Description
According to Native American legend, the mythological hero of the Blackfoot was Gluscabi (glue-skaw-buh) - the wolf brother. This benevolent wolf spirit aided his children throughout the past, as described in several stories. And yet some of the modern legends, claimed to have arrived with the white men, was the existence of Malsum, the evil twin brother to the wolf spirit. Though Malsum is not acknowledged today by the survivors of the Blackfoot tribe, there may be some truth to the existence of the Wolf Who Hunts Men.As the sun and moon cycle over the Great Plains, droughts bring indescribable heat down upon the Siksika and their sister tribes. Violence erupts as the people fight for the rights to water, not knowing that the Wolf Who Hunts Men's interests are piqued by the struggle.
