Well that was not a real stage, but it was real jazz indeed. In august 2012, Barbara Raimondi was so kind to invite me to take shots at her next cd recording sessions: it was a truly amazing experience and a precious chance to see and listening to these great musicians playing together and professionally work to accomplish a goal... Most of the songs were recorded live, without overdubs, and the first take was good!

I was allowed to move around the whole studio, with the only (obvious) request not to use the flash or make noise while they were recording: since my camera's shutter emits a loud click, i had to stay in the hall during actual recording time and shoot through the doors' noise-blocking glasses, trying not to get my own reflection or light flares in the image. This photograph is one of those shots.

Now that Singing Ornette!!! has been released, I am very happy to upload a shot I loved since the very first moment I looked at it in the LCD display of my camera.
