The imagination can work in amusing ways. When I posted this image yesterday commented that Octavia was "an absolute bombshell." My reply was that I suddenly imagined Vinyl Scratch wearing t-shirt that said Bomb Squad.

Well that should've been the end of it but my muse Petina got hold of the idea and ran with it. So yesterday while I was brainstorm a client's commission this image popped in my head.

It started with Petina in her original 8.5" inch tall mouse form and wearing a bunny suit pushing a laptop computer on a little rolling cart into view. After few seconds she got the laptop positioned the way she wanted and then she turned it on. With that accomplished she opened a video file and wandered off. This is the image that played in my head.

Octavia looked over her shoulder at herself in the full length mirror. At least I have something to show for all that dieting and working out. She thought. The black stirrup pants fit her like a second skin.

The mare shook her head. She'd agreed to go clubbing tonight with Vinyl, and after running some errands in the morning and early afternoon she'd returned home to find these pants and the top waiting in a bag on their bed with her name on it. Obviously Vinyl wanted her to wear these tonight.

The earth pony heard the front door of their flat open. A few seconds later the blue-maned unicorn came bouncing into the bedroom and stopped in her tracks when she saw Octavia standing there. After a second she whistled.

"Damn girl! You look dynamite in that!"

The unicorn was wearing violet shorts that had her cutie mark printed on them. Keeping the shorts company was a snug tank top that had the words Bomb Squad printed on it but still left her midriff bare.

Octavia crossed her arms as her partner came bouncing over and draped her arms across the grey mare's shoulders. Octavia sighed.

"I know I'm going to regret asking, but why are you wearing that shirt?"

Vinyl grinned impishly. "Because you're such a bombshell that only an expert should handle you!"

Octavia groaned inside but she couldn't help smiling a little. "That's a horrible pick up line, but I have to commend you for going through all this effort just to use that punchline."

"Huh?" Vinyl looked confused.

"You purchased this outfit for me." Octavia pointed at herself. "And that one for yourself." She pointed at Vinyl's top. "Just so you could utter that pick up line."

"I didn't buy that outfit for you Octy." Vinyl looked befuddled. "And I when woke this morning I found you had gone and this outfit in the bathroom. You got this for me right?"

The earth pony scowled. "I didn't buy that for you, and if you buy this for me then who bought these...."

At an outdoor cafe in Ponyville Petina in her anthro unicorn form set down her coffee and looked off at a distant cloud and smile. Let's see how the night plays out for them now. She thought.
