You just copy the lines from photo. You do not use referense. You just traced the photo. Lines match for 100% when I did overlay.

A base is a picture that is traced over another picture, normally owners ask for permission or make sure there are no copyright on the pictures, it is generally just the poses and people alter them after that.

Because dependation of a human, not every one is capable of drawing their own mastered lines. I'm not saying tracing is ok, but in this case it's fine as the original source had given this lovely artist permission. She even linked us back to the original deviation. I honestly think your concern is too much.
