Though this isn't really canon, cause I don't need any shit from the fandom, cause I swear I'll double the load and catapult it back, may even add some from the neighbors dog and a few robins that hang out on the lawn.

No, this takes place before his escape, he's being set up to be killed by a firing squad, the wondrous thing about a firing squad is each person is given ONE shot, so a little quick manuevering should break the cuffs on a shot and get him out of there.
