Description
Croc turned to what Robotnik possibly had seen as his Throne Room. It was where he and Snively had conducted all their business. A glass tube was next to the chair Robotnik always sat in, inside was the deactivated shell of Princess Sally Acorn; her last actions in this world were to destroy the cross-dimension portal that she had sent Base through.

Robotnik's punishment had been that her memory would be wiped, but only enough that she knew she had had loved ones, but couldn't remember them. He left her like that for weeks, then, mercifully wiped her core clean, effectively killing her.

Croc looked at the small computer attached to her leg and smiled, he drew a circle on the glass with his finger and punched out the small glass circle, reaching in and grabbing the computer in hand.

"Nicole." his robotic voice chimed.

The computer screen flickered to life,"PLEASE IMPUT VOICE COMMAND."

"Free will mode." he responded.

The screen flickered and beeped and a thin green line formed across its black screen,"WHO ARE YOU?"

Croc smirked,"Here? I am god. Hm, perhaps that's a bit too arrogant. I am your savior; Chaos Croc."

The screen flickered and beeped,"NO FILE FOUND."

"Of course not. But I know you, and I know the Princess...well, what's left of her here. She's given up the ghost I take it?"

"THE PRINCESS WAS DEACTIVATED FOUR MONTHS, SEVEN DAYS, 2 HOURS, AND 44 MINUTES AGO."

"Precise, and knowing her she had a backup plan for this?"

"..."

"Nicole, respond. I can just hack you, I'm trying to be...civil."

"YES. HER MEMORIES ARE ALL HERE."

"All?"

"ALL."

Croc looked at the Princess' shell, then to Nicole,"I suppose its no substitute for the real Princess, but I'm not picky either. Nicole, reinstall all memories to the core processor in the shell's memory banks. After the installation is complete, reactivate the shell."

"WITHOUT THE PRINCESS' SOUL IT-"

"The shell will function as Sally would, it will think as she would, its...just not her."

"CANNOT COMPLY."

"Your loyalty is to the Princess, you are actively taking a course to harm her. Reactivate the shell. NOW."

Beep, click, boop.

The screen came to life, a green outline of the shell on the screen, a percentage meter, and the download began. Croc smirked in triumph at the sight.

The download took Nicole four hours. A lot shorter than Croc expected, but Nicole was a computer ahead of her time. The eyes of the shell opened and came to life.

Croc raised the Sword of Acorns and pointed to the shell, the eyes glowed a moment, and the color of the eyes faded from red to blue, the princess' eye color.

"Wh...where am I?"

"Robotropolis. You've been...out of commission a while Princess Sally." Croc said, trying to sound as casual as possible.

Sally held her head and punched the glass, it shattered and she stepped out,"I feel like my head is splitting apart."

"Your memories have been reuploaded, your body is reacting to it by simulating a headache. Robians are an odd class of robot. The only thing seperating them from their old lives is steel and oil."

Sally looked at her hands,"I am...still a robot then?"

Croc held the Sword in his hand and raised it,"Yes, that cannot be undone in this world any longer, on the bright side, using this sword I've returned your sense of self."

Sally closed her eyes, her arms dropped to her sides,"Sonic...Bunnie...Tails...Antoine...Rotor?"

Croc looked to Nicole, then to the Sword, then Sally,"I know not of their fate."

Sally sighed,"Neither...do I."

Croc raised a brow,"Well, we shall discover it eventually."

Croc put an arm around Sally's waist, leading her towards the door,"Come, your people await, Princess."

"My...people?" Sally questioned.

"Yes." he led her through the door.

The crowd of Robians cheered seeing Sally reactivated. Croc raised the Sword of Acorns high above his head,"With this blade I slew your tyrant! With this blade I revived your dead monarch!"

Another cheer, this time much louder, Croc turned to Sally and placed the tip of the sword on the floor and leaned on it like a cane,"Here, princess, is the part where you thank me for all my hard work."

Sally looked at her hands,"You...revived me....could you do the same for...my friends? For Sonic?"

Croc grinned,"If there is anything left of them. Does Nicole have their memories and personalities downloaded?"

Sally nodded, almost ashamed, as he was able to tell what she had planned all along. Croc smiled,"It will be done, Sally."

Sally nodded,"Then...you shall have my loyalty."

Croc tilted his head,"Come again?"

Sally turned to the Robians, the crowd that gathered at their feet,"From this day forth, I relinquish my position as princess."

The cheer died down, Sally continued,"The war is over, all of this is over, and all I want...is a normal life. As normal as I can have now. I relinquish my crown...to this...to him. I give him my loyalty, I will serve under him, as repayment for allowing me a normal life."

Croc smiled and moved the sword to his side, it attached itself like a magnet to his hip, he put an arm around Sally's shoulders,"Come. The computer in the Throne Room here will have all we need to know."

They turned to the computer in the Throne Room, and Sally felt, that everything would be all right again. She wanted her family back, the one she had grown up with in Knothole, and died alongside, someone was missing, something was missing.

Where was Base again?
