Honestly, I really think what I've written here sucks. But my mind isn't what it should be lately. So, this is what I've come up with. Sorry.

Veejay stumbled out of the delivery room back into the waiting room,"That's my bro and sister-in-law! I HAVE AS MUCH RIGHT AS ANYONE TO BE IN THERE!"

The only response was the soft swing of the two way doors,"...fuckers."

Veejay hadn't been in the delivery room long before being tossed back out. Only the father of the hoglets was allowed in. Veejay was curious as hell. She had met with the soon to be born Jayden Hedgehog some time ago when she'd came from the future on her 'vacation' which seemed to consist entirely of harassing everyone.

Veejay clearly remembered Jayden saying she was an only child then, and was curious why Windy was about to give birth to twins. The only answer she'd gotten was from her brother. His genetic disposition was for twins because his mother, his real mother, whom they'd met some time ago, had been one. The meeting with his parents had not been a pleasant one.

That was a memory for another time, however. Windy and Base were going to have twins, why hadn't Jayden mentioned a brother?

Veejay sighed and looked down the hall, back to the door, and to the seat next to her.

Jayden sat there,"Hi auntie!"

Veejay blinked a few times, Jayden didn't disappear,"You're back? Are you an illusion?"

Veejay felt the bone crushing sugary hug of doom Jayden had always managed to perform, this wasn't a hallucination, but it was painful!

"Let...me...DOWN!"

Jayden's arms opened, dropping Veejay into her seat, she sat with the same, big overly happy grin she always wore,"Okay!"

Veejay composed herself,"Alright...okay. You're here, you're about to be born now. You never mentioned having a brother."

Jayden looked around as if checking for someone,"Auntie...I didn't have one."

Veejay rolled her eyes,"Windy's about to pop a double and you're claiming you didn't have a brother?!"

Jayden poked Veejay's nose,"YOU played matchmaker, I told you not to. Now I do."

Veejay stared at Jayden's finger, then swatter her hand away,"Oh so it's MY fault?"

"When I said less presents, I didn't mean mom and dad got cheap! When I went back, I found I had a brother. I didn't remember anything about him, anything about the childhood we supposedly shared. But now its like I remember it one way, where its just me, but I remember it another way WITH a brother."

Veejay blinked, this was hurting her head,"...so you're being assimilated into a new future?"

"Sorta like that. I wanted to let you know what was going on and all that."

Veejay leaned against her chair, putting her hands behind her head,"Okay...so somehow me playing matchmaker changed this up. That's silly, but I'll bite my tongue on this. So what's this kid like?"

Jayden smirked,"Not telling you. No more spoilers for you missy!"

Veejay smirked,"That anyway to talk to your dear old auntie?"

Jayden stood up,"Nah. But I brought you a gift!"

"A gift?"

Jayden reached into the cuff of her glove and pulled something small and square from her glove,"I'm not coming back to the past anymore, too risky. So, here's something to remember us by."

Veejay looked at her hand, and took the piece of paper. Jayden hugged Veejay again.

"See you in a few minutes, auntie. Love you!"

Jayden gave Veejay a quick peck on the cheek and waved goodbye. Veejay watched as she trotted away down the hall of the hospital. Veejay looked at the piece of paper.

It was a photo, with two young hedgehogs on it, Jayden she recognized, the male she didn't. He was blue and black, like Windy, with a similar design to his tail. He wore clothes that seemed a mishmash of Base's attire and Windy's. His eyes were a leaf green color. While he did seem genuinely happy in the photo, there was an adventurous glare in his pose and eyes.

Veejay smirked,"Aunt of two now am I? So, what's your name, kid?"

The doctor came from the two way doors,"Ma'am, your brother would like to see you."

Veejay looked at the photo one more time, tucked it into a coat pocket and walked into the delivery room.

Base sat in a chair by the bed, the young Jayden in his arms. Windy, though looking tired and like she'd been through quite the ordeal, was smiling, holding the little male hoglet.

Veejay crossed the room and stood next to Windy,"So, who're these two tots?"

Base smiled at Veejay. The look in his face, she hadn't seen such a pure blissful look in his eyes since the first day he and Windy had been a couple.

Base looked at his sleeping daughter, a tuft of quills on her forehead,"Jayden Emma Hedgehog."

Veejay smirked, Gonna spoil you rotten kid.

She looked down to Windy,"What about the two for one, here?"

Windy looked to Veejay and leaned into her pillow, with a tired smile,"Theo Aidan Hedgehog."

Veejay smiled, Gonna spoil your ass too, kid. Welcome to the family.
