When the project he had been working on collapsed due to the client backing out, Evan was the only one who was laid off as a result. Despite being the best man on the job, his high paying salary was what ultimately did him in when corporate tried to salvage their losses.

That was 2 weeks ago, and ever since, Evan has been drinking away his depression in his favorite bar. He had more than enough money to live rather comfortably for several years thanks to his frugal mentality, despite his 6 figure salary, so he was in no rush to find a new job. But he had really loved his job, thus his current sadness.

Tonight was the same as usual. Evan arrived around 8pm and sank into a booth in the corner. Ray, the owner served him a complimentary beer on him, as he had become quite the regular as of late. He thanked him and went right into drinking.

After 4 beers, Evan was quite drunk, being a light weight when it came to alcohol.
