Description
Taken 20th of August on Ruhnu an island situated in the Gulf of Riga in the Baltic Sea. Ruhnu belongs to Estonia and is an administrative part of Saare County. At 11,9 km² it has currently less than 100, mostly ethnic Estonian permanent inhabitants.Cokin X121 & X120 Graduated grey.

wow, this gives me a sort of eerie feeling with the way the sky, water, and sand all look like they come from the same thing. it's interesting to see something with a composition like this. the colours are well balanced and the way you have presented the bush that's in front there is like a new life form blooming from something that's all the same. a difference, for no better words. i think i see some grain over the sky, though, which is sort of distracting to me. i think it takes away from the the colours and how sharp they could be. but in contrast to the sand, it works well. i guess it depends if you're looking at the photograph as a whole or in parts. for me, those rocks out in the water are nice; they add something to the otherwise smooth surface that would be there without them. it gives the water depth and makes the middle of the photograph more sense and reason. they are the meaning to the piece, if you asked me. over all this is very pretty.
