I've been derelict about uploading new stuff, so I thought I'd throw this quick little model up.

User RadishDalek (aka Red General) has an excellent set of blueprints for the Danube-class runabout, and the transporter pad is one small element of that set. I'm not gonna lie -- the Danube bridge is complex, and requires a lot of effort to accurately model, even with the blueprints. It's also true that the blueprints reflect the ship we see at the very beginning of DS9, and the ship design evolved over the life of the show. Nonetheless, I'd love to flesh out the whole Danube bridge in Blender.

So, in the interest of starting small, I took a swing at modelling the transporter. One of my questions: for a brief time, the transporter compartment had grab bars; should I include them? Hm.

This fan work is based on elements that appear in Star Trek, which is owned by CBS.
