Sorry for the late reply. I don't get here as often as I used to. Yes, I know the history of this ship. Of note is that this is actually the very first BC Ferry that was commissioned and built specifically for BC Ferries. Before this one they where using older ferries from other companies that became what is now BC Ferries.Ā
Yes I know of the Tapps. A friend of mine is an acquaintance of the Brothers. Thus my photos from close proximity. They allowed us a few minutes on the dock. I also know a local man who actually lived on the Sidney as a watchman for a while.Ā
