A straight pull rotating bolt with a bent charging handle? Should it be simpler to use a straight piece?

Are you intentionally being obnoxious? It's obvious that the handle flips up to chamber the next round.

That's not how a rotating bolt work. And the animation clearly shows it is a straight pull bolt, not a turn bolt.

...yes, because PMG isn't capable of rendering shit that's flipped up. What you're talking about is purely pedantry about the technical limitations of a simple flash app. If you used some common sense, you'd realize that the track in the original image *only* allows for the bolt to move back if the handle was flipped up.

Look, neither of us know if this is a straight pull or a turn bolt system. Unless the artist confirms one or the other we are both entitled to our own opinion.
However, competition rifles typically use straight pull to allow for easier handling and smoother action. And since the artist specifically said this is a competition rifle, it is likely uses starlight pull. Besides, the bolt is quite reminiscent of a Ross MK III.

The first one was a traditional bolt action, But it was faster to do a animation of a straight pull.
