Description
A D&D ref that went a little farther than I thought it woud. |D;;RUTH IS A TIEFLING WIZARD AND EVERYTHING IS WONDERFUL YEAHHHHH
EDIT: SINCE the club I wanna submit this to wants more info:
She's a part of a trading caravan in the current campaign we have going on that (somehow) always ends up in some sort of horrible battle against ogres and the like. She's the only real range fighter of the team and her spells tend to reflect that. She's kinda squishy in general, but when something gets drenched in acid it gets really drenched in acid.
textures from here: [link]
Editedit: OKAY since like, I feel like the only one that hasn't developed a full character and half the time I feel like I'm just talking as myself, I'M GONNA DO SOME CHARACTER DEVELOPING OKAY RICK
RICK DON'T READ IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS-- oh who cares I know you'll either read this anyways over not even notice it
I'll also delete questions that either don't pertain to this campaign or I just don't really wanna answer at the moment.
Section 1: The Basics
1a. What is your character's full name?
Alias she goes by as legal: Ruth P. Diddy
Her actual legal name: Maple O'Dello
1b. Was it their parents that named them that? If not, who?
NOPE, she changed her name to Ruth to elude the gallows. |D
1c.Is there a special meaning behind the name?
It's not even remotely like her old name, mostly! She just kind of picked a convenient, not-attention-grabbing name.
2a. How old are they now?
26 years old.
2b. When were they born?
The outskirts of Winterbole Forest, in a small cottage.
2c.Where were they born?
July 23!
3a. What's their race? Human, vampire, furry? Hybrid of some sort?
Tiefling~
4a. Where do they stand on the social pyramid? (e.i.: Royalty, middle class, living in poverty, etc.)
Currently, she's a fugitive in disguise! She currently keeps a profile of middle class adventurer, working on protecting a caravan during travel.
Section 2: Lifestyle
1a. Do they have a/n job/occupation? What is it?
As just stated, she protects a caravan during travel. Before she went undercover, she was a stage magician.
1b. What motivates them to keep doing this job?
Having money, for one. But mostly, the ability to travel around and get more information about a murder crime she was charged with, and the details behind it.
1c. What job would they rather have?
She'd love to go back to doing stage magic, but unfortunately, she can't return to that occupation.
2a. What are their religious views?
She doesn't have any particular religious alignment, and just sort of does her own thing.
3a. What have they accomplished? When?
She was a fairly accomplished stage magician in her time, but after she fled from death row, she became a scholar. She's quite well versed in arcana and nature.
4a. Are they apart of any organizations?
Aside from the caravan, no.
5a. What do they do in their free time?
Reads, practices her magic and tricks, takes notes on the environment around her, preps rituals, anddd plans out spots to investigate when the caravan goes to a major city she has evidence someone involved in the murder is lurking about at. She's a novice detective, basically.
I suppose that would also involve her trying to solve riddles and fake crimes, in an effort to prove to herself she's clever enough to solve her own mystery.
Section 3: Psychology
1a. Describe their basic personality.
Ruth tends to keep to herself (mostly to stay incognito from the law), not really getting very close to anyone. Not very trusting, she'd be the first to suspect foul play or being misled. This is especially true with authority figures asking too many questions.
Likewise, she always has her goals in mind and wants nothing more than to solve what happened when her best friend/stage assistant was murdered in a freak stage show accident. This leads her to be on the manipulative side, not above coaxing people into situations to better her own situation. She usually puts on a front of being encouraging, though her motives can be quite transparent.
Ruth is smart and she knows it. She often assumes everyone else around her is dumber than her, so goes out of her way to make remarks obvious and blunt so there's no second guessing. When manipulation doesn't work, she makes it very clear what she wants and by what means she'll get it.
2a. What part of their personality really stands out? If any part?
Ruthless (hurrrrrrr). She'll stop at nothing to get what she needs to clear her name, whether she's pretending to be nice or not.
3a. How do they view life? Are they an optimist? Pessimist? Realist? Idealist?
Realist, completely. She uses logic and reasoning to experience the world, partly because of her high education, and partly through her rigorous learning about deduction.
4a. When it comes to making a tough decision, do they rely on thought or feeling? Faith or fact?
Fact, to the very letter.
5a. Do they have a sense of humor?
She'll crack a joke once in awhile, but most jokes tend to be aimed at her weight (which she doesn't seem to take very well).
6a. What motivates them to keep moving?
Clearing her name and figuring out what happened to her friend. She'd really like to (somehow) make a return to the stage, but finds the idea unrealistic.
7a. What do they desire from life?
See previous question!
8a. What are they afraid of?
Being discovered and sent to her death, for sure! Other than that, not being able to figure something out (as it not only proves her to be less than she thought herself capable of, but also the fear she'll never solve her mystery).
9a. Are they superstitious about anything?
Superstitions are silly, as they have no basis in cold hard facts!
10a. What secrets do they keep, if any?
Already described! She was previously known as the Grand Venesini when she was on stage, and has gone WELL out of her way to cover her identity. This includes dying and growing out her hair, changing her name and occupation, and purposely gaining weight (which is why she is often seen eating whenever she can).
10b. How well are these secrets kept?
Quite well, as no one seems to be the wiser at the moment!
Section 3: Mental Abilities
1a. What can/cannot they do mentally? (e.i. IQ, certain school subjects, mental/emotional health)
She can do most things mentally, as she's a sharp as a whip. That, and emotionally. The trick that killed her assistant was sawing a box in half, in which case her equipment was tampered with and she herself really DID slice her in half. After having a direct hand in her death and having to dump her dreams and identity, she hasn't been doing TOO bad (if a overly suspicious of most people).
1b. What are they strongest at?
Anything regarding magic. Her knowledge of magic and her use of it is quite good! That, and her intelligence.
1c. What are they weakest at?
ANYTHING ATHLETIC EVER. Seriously, she is the worst at it. She also doesn't really have a sense of compassion for others, either. A bit on the selfish side.
2a. What do they like to do?
Proving her skills and intelligence, being praised, being the center of attention (well, that USED to be what she liked), and deceiving people.
3a. What do they hate to do?
Running, being questioned, being outwitted, having her plans backfire or completely fall apart, and being manipulated herself.
4a. Were they educated?
Very!
4b. If so, did they enjoy it?
She did, though she really prefers being on stage.
4c. For how long?
A few years after her stage appearance ceased. Then, she decided it was time to figure out the true story behind her friend's murder.
Section 4: History
1a. Did they have a good childhood? A bad one?
It was normal. Nothing really out of the ordinary. She grew up loving to trick people with parlor tricks and just overall deception.
1b. What do they remember the most about it?
Mastering pulling a rabbit out of a hat.
3a. What have they had to struggle to accomplish?
Getting a name for herself, and getting rid of it.
4a. What do they regret the most, if anything?
Not checking her equipment before the trick, and being too trusting to the stage hands (or ANYONE for that matter) with her props.
5a. How did they end up on their current path? Was it their choice?
It was out of necessity. The other choice was to be hanged.
Section 6: Relationships
1a. What do other people think of them?
Smart, and an easy target for fat jokes.
4a. Do they have a best friend? Who?
Well, she DID. Now she's kind of dead.
4b. Any other friends?
At this point, not really. She doesn't trust anyone with her real identity, anyways.

My first ever character was a Teifling, and after two years she's still alive and the campaign is still running! I've never had a Teifling die, so obviously they're the best.

This is actually my first time playing it. I played like, one game YEARS ago but this is the first one that actually lasted more than one session! XD It's definitely a lot of fun.

Gaming is really fun, though. And sessions always give me good ideas for art.

Nice, she must duel my razorclaw shifter Gossamer the ranger with her bargain buy riding Lizard Muffles (he was marked down because he only has 3 legs)

Too bad I know nothing about D&D.

Just place $100,000 in unmarked bills in an envelope by the tree outside at 3 AM and you will have the device the next day.
