Been praying for her redemption since way before Earthlings but judging how the show's been treating side characters as of late, I've been gradually losing faith about ever seeing her again : )

I'm not even sure how she'd handle knowing steven is/was pink diamond, or how he'd prove that to her, but she still needs that closure. She has so much insecurity and self hatred over something that didn't actually happen, it'd be unfair to just leave it unresolved.

OK, So I DID consider Jasper would just get real pissed off, knowing that her leader and the one she was made for was truly her worst enemy and would choose earth over her own kind and what not, but I NEVER considered she would question herself. Enliven me on that subject.

I'm thinking she'd have an identity crisis from this.Β
All her life she was told she was designed to be the perfect soldier that does what her superiors tell her, she especially does it because she wants to avenge her Diamond.Β
So to find out that she spent her whole life on vengeance over nothing, especially finding out that she wasn't doing what her Diamond would've wanted for her would make her feel like a disgrace to the one she looked up to the most.Β
I also have a headcanon that Jasper didn't ALWAYS think going beyond what she was designed for was taboo. She came out knowing what she was designed for but wanted to ask Pink Diamond if there was something MORE that she could do... and then BAM!!! Pink Diamond was "shattered" by Rose Quartz crushing her best chance for answers... until she came to Yellow Diamond, which according to her;Β her purpose was as is and going beyond what she was designed for will only lead to being no better than the shattererΒ Rose Quartz.Β
And as a resultΒ JasperΒ was brainwashed (and by that I mean misguided/misdirected) into thinking she was designed to be the perfect warrior and that's all sheΒ shouldΒ be.Β
