Really scary... I get similar feeling sometimes when I go for a walk to my city's riverside, there's a point where you can view lights from the city on your left and total darkness where the river goes on the right. Like something wicked was coming from the river.

This reminded me... After hurricane Sandy, we had a blackout here. At night, the streets and the buildings were all lit up as usual for 3-4 blocks from my apartment, and past that it was complete darkness, as if the world stopped existing. It was hard not to imagine some indescribable evil swallowing the buildings and growing in the darkness.
