I love these kind of manips. I suggest you work with the regular eye's light so it appears it's falling towards the face instead of rising up (I didn't explain that too well did I?)

This may sound silly but i really love the blue you used here; it creates a pretty nice contrast with the reds and shadows. And the concept is just so original and beautiful! No puns intended, this surely caught my eye xD

I think it's pretty interesting. I like that you put the compass on top, it dominates the pupil underneath, but without smothering it or taking attention from it completely. Having it towards the upper left also makes for some cool composition. neat stuff xD

Wow that is really well done, the transition between the compass aspects and the parched ground textures are seamless and the clarity colors is amazing. I especially like the contrast of the compass and the retina/ pupil.
