Aw!
Yeah the hooves are the tricky part, there's no real trick to them other than practice.
You could try hand stitching them instead too.

Sorry, no video tutorial.
It goes in the head dart but upside down (so when you turn it right side round it'll be right side up)

Could you use this pattern for beanie ponies? I am just wondering because I would LOVE to star making those! They are just adorable! /)>w<(\

i think you should be able to, just as long as the ratio of stuffing to beans is larger.

Nice tutorial!
I have a question: Do you use felt for pluses, right? I thought felt was only able to be stitched from the outside (I mean for example as seen in this one --> img1.etsystatic.com/014/0/6527β¦). Also small parts are almost imposible to do with this material, right ...? Or is there any trick?
Also how can you manage to turn the plush inside out without making the felt wrinkle? I used felt once to make small parts for a plush (the beak and legs of a platypus and it wrinkle pretty easily ...

Thanks! Actually, I only use felt for small details and such, not for the body or anything else.Β
I use anti pill/blizzard fleece for the body and most everything because its much more forgiving and has stretch so it doesn't wrinkle or pill like felt.

Great Tutorial, i will try it soon.
But I've got a question:
How do you add the hair? or the cutie mark?
When it's stuffed or before O: ?
(Im not experienced with sewing >.<)
π: 0 β©: 1
Belle43 In reply to Sigurdrifa [2014-01-22 22:40:34 +0000 UTC]
Thank you! Β
For the hair you handsew it on using a ladder stitch after the plush has been stuffed. For the cutie mark you can use an iron on transfer, paint, or make one out of fabric and glue it on after it has been stuffed, or if you want to embroider it you would do that before sewing.

If this was made out of minky and filled with beans would it be more floppy rather than rigid in the picture? thanks

Belle43 In reply to Dark-Lyte [2013-10-22 15:36:14 +0000 UTC]
It would be yes, but I think this pattern might be too shapely to make a proper beanie.

You sew it up separately and then ladder stitch it onto the body If you still don't understand there are some mane tutorials around here on deviant art.

I don't get the first part. Do you put the ear in the pony's head and then put the dart over it?
π: 0 β©: 1
Belle43 In reply to bonzi3bonzie [2013-03-18 20:47:07 +0000 UTC]
Yes, You put the ear down into the head and then sandwhich it in the middle of the dart sides so you'd have one dart side then the ear then the other dart side and you just sew the dart regularly but with the ear in the middle and make sure the ear is turned right side out! If you're still confused just trying pinning it and turning it right way round a few times that always helps.

What would be the best way to put a horn on the plushie? I'm still kinda new to this stuff.
π: 0 β©: 1
Belle43 In reply to Callidior [2013-02-13 04:31:45 +0000 UTC]
I hand-sew on the horns using a ladder stitch, same stitch used to close up the plush.

SalamiPants In reply to Belle43 [2013-02-03 04:32:12 +0000 UTC]
I don't think I'm doing it right...where on the dart do you sew the leg? Top? And fold the bottom part up?
π: 0 β©: 1
Belle43 In reply to SalamiPants [2013-02-03 06:15:50 +0000 UTC]
Well the dart its self is cut and then sewn back together again and then the whole leg is sewn down?
