This gets at multiple aspects of "overconsumption." A riff on McDonaldization, aka industrial scale globalization and depersonalization. The "happy" clown of capitalism that hides the real threat, and the constant pressure to consume on multiple levels that is killing the planet. And much more. All in all, the symbolism here speaks volumes. Excellent job!

When I think of McDonalds, three very meaningful words come to mind, and they are "Don't do drugs."

On one last note, the consumerisim thing is really true, because we will make NO PROGRESS curtailing this because it's much cheaper to buy fast food then stuff with actuall subsistence. that combined with the fact that CEO's make 400x the standard customer... is why I'm an anarchist. not communist, because we all know how quickly that devolves into dictatorships.

I still try to fight fast food as much as I possibly can. I'm trying to wean myself of burger king, then with chick-fla-a, then just growing my own food from there.
and speaking of the related pics, I do agree that the cold war proved how dead the world is, and that the better ideals always die out in the end.

It all depends on who own the McDonalds. But I do agree that it is very unhealthy to eat too much. I'm a vegan so fast food is out of question.

About a year ago I was a road trip w/my family and we stopped at Mc. I decided to hold a litle experiment. I got an extra cup to see how much grease we could squeeze out of a big mac (yes, I have a very strange family). The result was... pretty gross. We haven't eaten there since.

Very good! That is what I think all the time! I hate that thing like fast food brands destroy culture and cultur food! But I m still a victim of consumerism and consumption and go and eat Mc Donald's a the time....
But at least I thing about this problem and don't try to overlook it.
