This is beautiful, dark, and enthralling. You can easily see that the artist put a lot of time and effort into making this. This is one of my favorites, and I admire it. Awakening is a fresh perspective to the darker arts with just a touch of light. For some reason, I will admit, that this makes me think slightly of something made for the television show The Walking Dead, with how the arm stretches out to touch a hint of life. I believe that this could in fact be used for such a purpose. Very well done, and I look forward to more from the artist!

Very interesting!
My first association: Jane Eyre. In the story, she describes some images she created, which (of course, Jane Eyre being a bit of a Mary Sue) noticably impressed her gruff employer. I image they were like this: evocative, a bit somber, and captivating.
