Description This is a production maquette for Erik Murillo's screenplay. Everybody has their take on the science fiction dropship/gunship motif, and here is mine. It is designed to launch from space, fight it's way through orbital defenses, and then land within a planet's atmosphere or inside of a space colony, where it delivers it's payload of combat troops and assault mecha.
It is armed with missiles, projectile cannons (conventional guns), particle accelerator cannons, and rail guns.
The various appendages, nozzles and tanks in the back provide it with multiple forms of thrust for operation in space and within the atmosphere: The discs on either stub wing are repulsor type engines that allow the craft to hover within an earth atmosphere/gravity environment, the hedgehoggy stuff in the back and underneath are rockets, jets, scramjets, repulsors, vectored plasmoid thrust spikes, etc. Basically, it can take damage to it's engines in any environment, but continue flying and fighting by it's redundant back up systems.

I've definitely been on a steady diet of Ron Cobb and Joe Johnston lately.

Somebody wake up Hicks.
