For two weeks I watched youHoped for that moment when you'd catch me staring at you
from the corner of my eyes
I see you
stare
wondering what you think about
what makes you smile.
I'll ponder at it all inside my head
let the chalice fall
break my own heart keeping a distance
never let it stray
These walls I've built up like concrete titans
nothing ever feels the same
we're numb
Cold, forgotten and confused.
Two weeks ago I didn't live.
I died.
those two weeks will never be the same
those ones where we forgot what we wanted
it'll never be the same
We can retrace the steps
the path
but it'll only lead to the same
pace we stand
arms hooked tightly around those hearts
