The one-armed handstand is one of her trademark abilities -- not many can do it! So this isn't the first time she ever did it and I just asked her if she could do it again. The lighting and the idea of rotating the picture 180 degrees both owe a lot to my colleague photographer on this shoot, Carlton SooHoo.

I'm going to disagree. I think flipping the image actually detracts from what she's doing. At first glance, I thought she could jump and palm the ceiling while doing the splits. (Which is a pretty impressive skill...just not as impressive as what she's actually doing.)
Also, if I'm going to light this shot this way, I'd do so against a compltely blank background. Again, it's what she's doing that's so bloody impressive. The rest is just...noise. (And a big old hot spot by her far foot.)
