Thanks for the frank critique! I wrestled with the question of whether to clone it out or not, which would certainly be easy enough to do. She's obviously a very active, even daredevil, type of person, with a scar or two to show for it. In the end I decided to resist the temptation to change her in that way because it kind of goes with who she is and with the other athleticism that's evident in the picture. But I certainly wouldn't have put a hole there if there hadn't already been one, and I definitely see the argument for removing it.

I would be interested in what any other viewers of this picture have to say about this question.

I would ask the model what she prefers. The answers could go either way. She could be thinking: (1) That jerk! He is too lazy to take the time to make me look good. I'll never shoot with him again. OR (2) That jerk! He changed the way I look into some alien and artificial image, implying that I am naturally ugly without his Photoshopping me to make me look good. I'll never shoot with him again.
