OK, it was a hot wheels VW. I took a dremel tool with a cut off wheel and removed the front fenders, and cut the hole in the roof. Modded the interior, lost the windshield/ glass insert, added nylon window screen, and the platting on the outside. It is made from very thin sheet plastic. The rivets are embossed on the sheeting with a little tool that has a metal wheel that is spiked/pointed. Just roll it along with a little pressure and it makes perfect rivets. Added the MG and paint.
