Hehe, probably the most recognizable mountain in the world (at least of the ones i can think of).
I didn't even have to read to description... i recognized that mountain.
Very nice capture here. Great tones and colors, lighting is great. Nice framing and just an overall good shot. ANd what a beautiful scene it is.
That little spot on the bottom right corner is bugging me some though...
Otherwise, very nice job. I say, it is worthy.

Hehe. That spot's not there. Nothing to see there. Don't look there.
Thank you so much!

what a brilliant shot. i realy like the sunbeams on the boats and the silent water. it makes me wanna rent one and spent the day on the water - serious. i like the focus on the two boats and the footbridgein the middel, the fuji in the back and that great sun.
very nice

Thank you. I'm glad you got that feeling.
It's one that I've had at this lake. I'd love to just cast out in the boat, lie back and look at the mountain for a while.

well i think so. it must be a great place... and how great is that view ?!! it just makes you wanna hop in and take some hours off. did you just wait for the sundown/sunrise or was it just more casual ? i think this is more intense than e.g. "First Casts" - the light looks so special. so tell me, who does not fall in love ?

I was there for sunrise. I had been in the area taking pictures all night, including some pictures of the stars with Fuji in the background. Sunrise was just the topping on the night.

Such a brilliant shot, of what should be a relatively dull subject - overturned boats!! I think the lighting and the angle make this scene. Well done

Thank you.
I never find overturned boats dull. Depending on the setting, I find that they can tell a story.

gorgeous capture!
I'm up North in Hachinohe, and I must travel to Morioka to get a decent sized mountain to shoot.
Very classy capture, love the foreground, and the backdrop is just breathtaking.
Very, very good work.

I am familiar with that part of Japan, but only slightly. I had the pleasure of spending a week in the Misawa area during summer a few years ago. The winters are just too windy for my taste!
Thanks for the comments. The subject is easy, just a matter of composition and lighting.
Thanks again!

We all must thank the sun today!
I was glad that they had a light coating of frost on them to give that effect. Otherwise they would have been pretty flat and bland.
