( this is a ROUGH image being used for concept idea and exposition to a story i'm biulding.)

before Panzer Knacker died he was undergoing several under ground projects that he kept secret. one of them was a machine that could build a perfect army of obedient robots. this machine was code-named: codex 0, it was to be run using an advanced AI system that would put orders above all else. it was finished a few days before Panzer died and was undergoing experiment trials when Panzer was killed. his death sent a signal to Codex; "vengeance". Codex then took control of the bunker and all of it's weapons and machines and sealed the facility up and began to build itself up.

Codex is the mind behind all the old gun turrets on highways, the tanks trundling along, and the dozens of other machines all over the place. Codex kidnaps ponies and drains their knowledge to be used in a sort of hive mind that all machines in Codex's control has access to. they are then placed into advanced suits that can with stand even the most powerful magical blasts, armor that bounces artillery rounds. and i tries to free the pony within, the pony will die the suit keeps them alive.

Codex has been silently building an army, hidden with a deathly maze of thick trees and old traps in an old wood known as the creeping woods. Codex has even found how to control the plant life with the woods.

however, Codex holds only one higher than itself, Panzer's line; Night Swift and Sparrow Wing.

why do you stand before these woods? don't you fear what lies within? don't you value life?
