Description
First of all: a message to DA: where is the Illustrator Tutorials category? Surely after CS and it's ease of use with photoshop, you would have thought to add it.Ok this is my first tutorial of all time. Let me know what you think of it, because I may consider doing more. Most of my Illustrator skills involve technical drawing, as I work for a chemistry journal and I have to draw lots of technical diagrams. I actually discovered this tangent method when I had to draw some lab glassware

umm hi! i know this deviation is quite old, but i hope u still answer comments... i found this via search because im starting to work with illustrator.
i wondered if you are a chemist or if you just work(ed?) for that chemistry journal as a designer.
i ask this because i m going to start studying chemistry in 2 weeks at the university and id love to hear that ill have some opportunity to use illustrator at least from time to time during my studies
hope you dont consider this an odd question.

sorry about the delay in response, but I was away from my computer... for a while.
yes, i am a chemist, but there are other designers there that are not chemists. our work environment is a bit unusual, though. you'd have to see what is available on your campus.
illustrator is a design standard, though. if you do any research and make your own figures, you will most likely be using illustrator

I completely agree! WHERE is the Illustrator category.. also, when putting a tutorial up for others to use, upload it as a file, and make a small preview image. It means we dont have to load it, just download it *wink*
